The coronavirus pandemic has brought a standoff to India and the world. For thousands of new cases reported each day, the nationwide lockout has to be observed.
Social distance is the norm today and to ‘drive home’ this point, carmakers took to social media to illustrate this concept with quirky advertisements, clever punchlines, and dramatic petrolhead photos, all of which tell you one thing -Stay Home and Stay Safe!
Maruti Suzuki, Volkswagen, Hyundai Motors, and Audi have cleverly used their logos to express the social distancing message.

Even though the letters are successfully used by Maruti and Hyundai, Volkswagen split the iconic V and W logo to emphasize social distancing.

Audi has used its iconic logo to speak about social distance, which is possible for the first time to distinguish the four rings from each other.

The post of British carmaker Jaguar was about a promising future with its logo leaping forward. Another British automaker Rolls-Royce delivered a similar message urging all to keep their spirits up during these gloomy times.

Compatriot BMW also joined Volkswagen and Audi, posting some videos on their accounts on social media, asking customers to stay home and flatten the curve. BMW also shared a post with the vintage Isetta small car, asking users to take care of elderly people who are more susceptible to Coronavirus.

American automaker Jeep is known for some clever use of its iconic grid, and the manufacturer’s new post provided some advice on what to do at home during the lockdown. Spanish carmaker Seat shared an adorable social media message. While social distancing is necessary physically, you do need to keep in touch with your loved ones in these times.
