HeroMotoCorp has listed the BS6 XPulse 200T and the BS6 Xtreme 200S on its website, which means that models have not withdrawn, and the prices of these two motorcycles will be revealed soon after the national lockdown set up to curb COVID-19 spread. The XPulse 200T is a sibling of the Xpulse 200, of which ‘T’ stands for touring and is for those who choose to live on tarmac rather than venture into the wild.
Even though the BS6 Hero Xpulse 200T engine specifications not yet released, we believe it will be similar to the BS6 Hero XPulse 200 specifications. The BS6 Hero XPulse 200 has a peak torque output of 16.4Nm at 4,500rpm and produces 17.8bhp at 8,500rpm. In comparison, the BS4 XPulse 200 made 18bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The curb weight of the BS6 XPulse is now 157kg, which is 3kg heavier than the BS4 model. We expect the weight of the BS6 Hero XPulse 200T to increase by a slight margin.
Hero MotoCorp will be launching the BS6 version of its 200cc faired motorcycle, the Xtreme 200S. The XPulse 200, XPulse 200T, and Xtreme 200S were launched together early in 2019. The motorcycle, in essence, is a fully-faired version of the Xtreme 200R. The latest Hero Xtreme bike features the same single-cylinder 199cc, two-valve engine and the tune as on Xtreme 200. The engine churns out 18bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm peak torque at 6,500rpm. But expect the specifications to see a slight drop in power and torque.
We expect Hero to announce the prices and specifications of motorcycles shortly. The Hero Xtreme 200R is not yet identified on the company website. The Hero motorcycle may have been discontinued or it would have received a BS6 variant sometime later.
