KTM 790 Duke Bike Price and Specifications

The KTM 790 Duke Bike, also known as the Scalpel, is the Indian market flagship of KTM. The road naked borrows the sleek styling and features from its elder sister, the 1290 Super Duke which KTM offers on the international markets. The 790 Duke has sharp lines along with a minimalist look which is viewed from every angle of the bike. It has a split-LED headlamp system from KTM’s logo, a full-color TFT screen, and a high-set exhaust canister that gives it a hooligan appeal.

Built around a steel trellis frame and an aluminum subframe, the Duke 790 draws its energy from a parallel-twin motor of 799cc that KTM has tuned to churn out some exciting figures. The engine will pipe out 105bhp and 86Nm, mounted on a sleek six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and bi-directional quick-shifter.

In order to keep this brute force in balance, the KTM Duke comes with a range of electrical aids that include lean-sensitive traction control, ABS cornering, launch and wheelie control as well as riding modes that include a ‘Supermoto’ mode which switches off ABS at the rear wheel, allowing the driver to get the tail out of the corner.

Cycle parts include premium inverted forks upfront of 43 mm WP and a pre-loaded adjustable rear mono shock. Twin rotors at the front and a single rotor at the rear are used to accelerate. KTM is offering the 790 Duke in two colors orange and black liveries.

KTM 790 Duke Price: Rs 8,63,945

Competition wise, the KTM 790 Duke locks horns with other naked streets such as the Triumph Street Triple RS, Suzuki GSX-S750, Yamaha MT-09 and India’s Ducati Monster 821.
