Morris Garages India has quietly introduced the MG Hector BS6 diesel-compliant models. The MG Hector SUVs priced in the range of Rs 13.88 lakh to Rs 17.72 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and prices have increased to Rs 44.000 compared to BS4 diesel models. MG Motor India launched the BS6 petrol variants of the Hector earlier in February this year, which saw the price rise by Rs 26,000 across all trims. Now the 2020 MG Hector BS6 compliant starts at Rs 12.73 lakh, going all the way up to Rs 17.72 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The diesel variant of the BS6 MG Hector continues to be powered by the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre Multijet oil burner, which also does duty on the Jeep Compass and the Tata Harrier. Despite the shift to the new stringent emission standards, the engine continues to offer the same power output, developing 168bhp at 3750rpm and a peak torque of 350Nm at 1750 to 2,500rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
There is no change in terms of features or equipment that offered with the MG Hector BS6 diesel. And you get a vertically mounted 10.4-inch touchscreen display fitted with an iSmart connected car device providing 50 security capabilities including geofencing, vehicle burglary monitoring and immobilization, remote control of the AC on/ off and the sunroof and tailgate open/ close functionality through the smartphone app, and voice command. The system gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the cabin comes with premium interior and faux leather upholstery. Exterior features include projector headlamps, LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, and more.
